background

I began my career in advertising, crafting innovative strategies to capture attention and boost profitability for companies. Chances are, you’ve encountered some of my work. However, certain moments in time can lead us to reassess our trajectory and it’s impact on our community and family. I was working in the downtown eastside with a brand new beautiful baby when I figured it was time to quit being on the sidelines and find a way to support our community.

Having grown up and lived in Vancouver, from the North Shore to English Bay, my connection to this city, its nature, and its people is important to me. I’m a family man and have the honor of being called Dad by two beautiful little girls, and called all sorts of other things by my wife… I believe that family needs to be at the center of our mental health, and if we can repair the family, we can heal collectively.

why & how

In my therapeutic practice, I strive for a balanced approach that combines innovative thinking with proven experience and a keen sense of curiosity, all grounded in openness and authenticity. I view each client as an individual, facing distinct challenges. Thus, I adopt a guiding role, facilitating self-exploration and empowerment rather than directing from a position of authority. Although I prefer to guide, I can and do direct as sometimes we need structure, inspiration and encouragement.

approach

I’m an integrative therapist that blends elements from Narrative, Person-Centered, and Existential therapies, adapted with techniques from Somatic and Dialectical Behavioral therapies, as well as Acceptance and Commitment and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I’m also a full fledged believer in the therapeutic benefits of nature, and making the most of Vancouver’s natural settings. If you’d like to learn more about my process, click here.

the random & weird

I used to make music videos each year for my wife’s birthday. I would go all out.
